As highlighted in our latest KIW Research Note, we’ve launched a new web app designed to calculate the First Lactate Threshold (LT1) from an incremental step test with blood sampling using a combination of scientific evidence and practical guidelines. The app integrates both the Baseline +0.5 mmol/L approach and the Log-Log Method.
As of 2026, these metric represent the most effective balance between accuracy and real-world applicability for identifying the First Exercise Threshold—which represents the upper boundary of Zone 2 (low-to-moderate intensity) Training. 🚴♂️📊
